We always check Trip Adviser if we are planning to stay somewhere new. We have stayed in FJB hotels before, namely The Haven & we have a booking at Sandbanks later in the year. The difference with this trip is we booked a dog friendly room, we were told at the time of booking that such rooms are in a separate building and dogs are not permitted in the main hotel. I fully appreciate the excellent reviews that this hotel has received. However, the dog friendly rooms are in what they call the west wing. This is tired and dated and the room we stayed in was a good size but was tired and below standard. We had an issue with a broken gutter that meant a sleepless night, we complained the evening before, no response and following the sleepless night, the hotel failed to respond and …
